Edson Macedo
Edson Macedo is a founding partner at SolFin and oversees of all projects. He has become deeply involved in prospecting, negotiations and relationships with customers and investors.
Edson Macedo started his professional career at Unibanco. Five years later, he moved to the newly founded Pactual DTVM, where he remained for two years before moving to the credit area and later, to the corporate finance area of the Chase Manhattan Bank, where he stayed for 8 and a half years. In 1992, he returned to Banco Pactual to lead the newly-formed area of Debt Restructuring. After many successes, Edson Macedo became a partner at Banco Pactual. He served as a partner there until 1999, when he, along with other former partners of Banco Pactual, founded Rio Bravo Investimentos. At the end of 2000, Edson Macedo left Rio Bravo to found SolFin, which he has successfully presided over the past year as president and founding partner.
Edson Macedo graduated in Law from PUC-RJ. He is a member of the board of directors at SR Packaging S.A., Nutriplant S.A. and RB Financial, besides being president of the Gaia NGO, which provides psychological support to needy patients with cancer.
